Stay safe around the grill this Memorial Day Weekend

Grilled meatMemorial Day Weekend is the perfect weekend to spend time with loved ones around the BBQ. It is important to keep BBQ safety in mind with many people around during this time. You also want to make sure that you have the perfect BBQ recipe that is sure to please everyone.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs are a simple recipe with only 3 steps that is sure to be a hit with everyone.

First, combine ½ cup olive oil, ½ cup ranch dressing, 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, and 1 tablespoon white sugar in a medium bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.

Cut 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes and place the chicken in the bowl and stir to coat with the marinade. Cover everything and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the grill to medium high heat and thread the chicken onto skewers.

Lightly oil the grill and grill skewers for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the middle. Then plate and enjoy.

When it comes to BBQ safety, it is important to always remember that you are dealing with fire. Make sure to have a fire extinguisher close by whenever you use the BBQ. It is also essential to clean your grill before you start cooking. Grease from food can collect in a BBQ and cause flare-ups while you are cooking. Flare-ups cannot only burn your food, but can be potentially dangerous to anyone and anything around the grill. This is also why it is important to place your BBQ away from any buildings or low hanging trees. The farther away the BBQ is from everything, the less likely it is to start a fire.
