Don’t Miss The TET Parade in Westminster!

TET Parade Westminster CAThe Year of the Goat: Tet Nguyen Dan

While you may have thought that New Year celebrations are over, those of Vietnamese descent are ready to celebrate the most significant holiday of their culture with Tet Nguyen Dan. The year of the goat will be celebrated at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa with the 2015 Union of the Vietnamese Student Associates of Southern California (UVSA) TET Festival from February 20th until February 22nd.

For over thirty years, the TET Parade comes to life thanks to the hard work and dedication of students and volunteers who are ready to celebrate the beginning of spring and the arrival of the Lunar New Year! The nonprofit organization has hosted this celebration year after year, raising over $1,000,000 in festival proceeds since 1982.

Tickets range from $5 to $20, depending on the size of your group. Parking at the OC Fair & Event Center is $7. If you dress in traditional Vietnamese attire or military uniform from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday you can enjoy free admission! On Friday, the festival takes place from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The festivities continue on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Events at the festival include Miss Vietnam of Southern California Pageant, Pho Eating Contest, Chinese Chess, Floral Arrangement Contest, Talent Show, and the 1st Annual UVSA TET Festival Short Film Contest Awards. This is truly an amazing celebration that you will not want to miss out on!
