Unlike most California beaches, Orange County is home to some of the most enjoyable dog friendly beaches. Since it is so hard to pack up your beach supplies and leave your furry family member at home, knowing of top quality dog beaches in Southern California is imperative as a dog lover. Compiled is a list of dog friendly beaches in Orange County for you to add to your summer bucket list:

Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach has been rated the “dog-friendliest beach” with a mile long of sand for your dog to play and enjoy themselves to the fullest. This beach is privately funded and is the only beach in Orange County that allows dogs to run free off their leashes. Bring your dog to this dog friendly beach between Seapoint Avenue and 21st Street from 5:00am until 10:00pm.

Corona Del Mar

This hidden area gives dogs and their owners the luxury to feel like they are on their very own private beach. Dogs are welcome from 6:00am until 10:00am and after 4:30pm. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet long.

Laguna Beach

Dogs are welcome on several public beaches in Laguna including Main Beach, Crescent Bay, and Wood’s Cove. Dogs are welcome before 9:00am and after 6:00pm as long as they are leashed in between June 15th through September 10th. Dogs are welcome at all times of the day from September 11th through June 14th.
